Gay Pride March

Siden 1970 er der hver juni blevet afholdt Gay Pride March i New York. Paraden kører ned langs 5th ave. ned til Greenwich Village. Det er andet år i træk at jeg oplever denne parade og igen i år, var stemningen langs 5th ave. helt i top. Folk er glade og i godt humør.

Deltagere i paraden er alle typer lige fra de dagligstøj-gående folk til dem som har klædt sig ud i store flotte kostumer, og til dem som også har smidt næsten alt deres tøj.

Selv Michael Bloomberg som er borgmester af New York, er med i paraden i højt humør og omringet at fotografer og sikkerhed.

En sjov og anderledes oplevelse, som helt klart kan anbefales at få med hvis man er i byen på tidspunket hvor paraden afholdes. Paraden afholdes sidste søndag i juni.

(Since 1970, each June held Gay Pride March in New York. Parade runs along 5th ave. down to Greenwich Village. It is the second year that I experience this parade and this year again, the mood along 5th ave. very top. People are excited and happy.
Participants in the parade, all types, ranging from everyday clothes reaching people, to those who have dressed themselves into big, beautiful costumes and to those who have also thrown nearly all their clothes.
Even Michael Bloomberg as mayor of New York is in the parade in high spirits and surrounded the photographers and security.
A fun and different experience, which definitely can be recommended to get to where you are in town at the time point where parade is held. Parade held last Sunday in June.)
